This event will be hosted by Trail Pros LLC – in conjunction with Round 4 of US Sprint Enduro and will be co-sanctioned with Sprint Cross Country Series. This event is a 2-DAY race with both days being points paying. LOI Riders must reach out to the AMA prior to this event.

We are excited and honored to be hosting the AMA East Coast ISDE Qualifier for the 4th year in a row!

I admire all those racers who have represented our Country and those that are planning and hoping to compete this year in the prestigious International Six Days of Enduro.

While Motocross has its Des Nations – Off-Road has the ISDE and that there is something next level! The yearlong planning, the efforts in learning to handle working on your motorcycle without assistance in such stressful situations, the fundraising, staying healthy and switching gears from fiercely competing against your competition throughout the year to working alongside them as a teammate. It’s not for one day – for one race… its SIX DAYS with multiple races with multiple brutal miles… and it’s not just for you and your glory – it’s for your Team and Country.

We believe the US Sprint Enduro format is one of the closest race formats to the International Six Days of Enduro that we have in the U.S. The Sprint Enduro format is a tool in their race toolbox for our American racers to be prepared for the demanding racing ahead of them in Spain. Our Special Test racecourses are very similar to the ISDE Special Tests. The focus is on hitting your marks and finding your edge without going over it. Our Cross Tests take advantage of natural terrain along with moto-track sections, when possible, they are usually about 4 miles long. The Enduro Test takes racers to the flowy woods where they really need to focus, these tests are normally about 3 miles long. Both tests are ribboned on both sides. After each test racers are able to go back to their pit and check their times, possibly make some bike adjustments and reset for the next test. Racers will be alternating these two tests throughout the day for a total of 6 to 8 tests each day.

The level of competition is high in USSE, and we are really proud to have quite a few former ISDE racers regularly racing our US Sprint Enduro races. This year we have had the entire U.S. Womens Trophy Team following the series. Our Womens Pro Podium has been dominated so far by Brandy Richards, Korie Steede and Rachel Gutish so far in the 2024 season – which is a great motivator for our other Womens Pro competitors to see how they fare against the fastest special test racing ISDE Champions!

From the former World Trophy Teams, we have our 2023 US Sprint Enduro Pro 1 Champion, Johnny Girroir as well as 2022 USSE Pro 1 Champion, Josh Toth, and our 2021 USSE Pro 1 Champion, Layne Michael, former U.S. Junior World Trophy Team, 2022 Pro 2 USSE Champion, Cody Barnes, and from the Club Teams we regularly see Craig Delong, Zach Toth, Jhak Walker and Cade Henderson in the lineup.

Many people underestimate what it takes to basically explode off the line with incredible intensity, especially while making limited mistakes as well as not racing bar to bar – you have to depend on your own focus, reaction and race-craft – because you won’t always have a rabbit to chase – it’s just you against the clock and literally every second counts!

While you may be here for the AMA US ISDE Qualifier – you may also want to consider attending the Sprint Enduro World Championship in July. This special event really tunes you in for ISDE Racing. It will be held in Monterey, Tennessee, July 13 – 15 it is a 3-day race which will be utilizing the same format as USSE. The bonus is we will have workshops for ISDE Prep including tire changing and tire changing competitions with the Rabaconda Tire Changer! The US ISDE Team Manager, Antti Kallonen will be on hand as well as the entire US ISDE Team – so you will really be able to get dialed in!

Remember: Practice is great, but there is no better practice then Race Practice!

This race event is not only for the US racers – it is open to all racers worldwide and that is our hope – to continue to grow this event into a true ISDE prep and practice race!
