RND 2 The Fight for the Top Box in the Women’s Pro Class was a Real NAIL-BITER!

Round 2 of the US Sprint Enduro Series in Donald’s, South Carolina at The Shoals Motocross Facility made for the perfect venue to watch a wicked group of women tackle the windy, slick and dusty course. This location had everything, from fast moto sections – boulder jumps and fresh cut technical wood sections to test the ladies for a total of 12 tests through the weekend.
Day 1 Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s, Tayla Jones came out on top but nipping on her heals was Babbit’s Kawasaki’s, Korie Steede a mere six seconds behind her. AmPro Yamaha’s, Rachael Archer was dialing in her pace and by the end of the day it looked like she was getting comfortable on the course as her times continued to improve – but it was Korie Steede that took the fastest time on Day 1 with a 6:12.4 on the second Cross Test.
Day 2 the ladies continued their tight battle with the closest racing between Archer and Steede – On the second Enduro Test Archer rocked an impressive time of 6:05.9!.. It got crazy exciting right up the end with a near tie! Archer edged out Steede by 2/10’s of a second! That’s after 12 tests of racing – to come that close is so cool and part of what makes Sprint Enduro so exciting to follow!
Awesome to see Preston Raines, Allie Spurgeon and Brooke Cosner mixing it up as well – Shout To Brooke Cosner riding a brand new to her 450 GasGas – improving her times throughout the weekend as well!
All of the Women displayed such great talent on the courses – we definitely look forward to the Championship Battle ahead!
