This is Sprint Enduro – Elevated!

AMA's REGIONAL SPRINT ENDURO SERIES

ROUND 4 OLDE MILL SPRINT & ISDE EAST COAST QUALIFIER INFO

4 min read

We are all gearing up for the Sprint at Olde Mill! It’s been a couple of years since we laid fresh tracks on this beautiful Southern Maryland Farm, and we are pretty eager to return! Everything is budding – get ready for some green grass and buds on the trees – Spring has sprung in the Old-Line State!

What you need to know:

Getting There: Please note that the address for the location using GPS will take you to the wrong entrance so you will want to put JENKINS RD in your GPS. We will have arrows for you – but familiarize yourself with the map below.

Camping is Free on Friday and Saturday night (there is no camping Thursday). If you are looking for a hotel – we recommend the town of LaPlata, MD – it’s an easy 20-minute drive to the track.

Maryland is for CRABS – so we want to give you a heads up on a couple popular local spots if you want to take a drive and get some local fare – Captain Leonards is very popular as well as Captain Billy’s and the Drift Inn. There is also the quaint town of Solomons Island, MD – it’s a little bit of a drive – but there are restaurants on the water and it’s a pleasant place for a drive. We will have Mikes BBQ and Ribs on Saturday as well as Sunday with an added vendor on Sunday “Freshly Made 4 You” which will have breakfast and fresh sandwiches. We will also have Circus Ice Cream onsite with a pushcart from noon till 4pm Saturday and Sunday!

This is our stomping grounds – so if you do need anything and want some advice on where to go – don’t hesitate to reach out! We are about an hour from Washington D.C. in case you want to plan for some sightseeing.

RACING

Now – let’s get down to business! Racing! This Round is incredibly special. This is the first time that the AMA US International Six Days of Enduro East Qualifier has been held in Maryland! We think that’s pretty cool – since it’s our home state!

We will have many former ISDE Team members – from Trophy to Club Team competitors joining us for 2-days of Sprint Enduro Racing. We’d like to take a moment to welcome our West – Coast Racers that will be making the journey East!

This is where racers who are vying for a spot on an AMA Six Days Team need to come and show what they got in special test racing. The Trail Pros team will be crafting a fun yet challenging course for our racers… over 40 classes of racers will all get to compete on the same trail. There will be the usual Cross Test and Enduro Test both anywhere from 3 – 4 miles. This is Sprint racing – with every second counting you will need to remain focused. Use each break in-between to reset and be ready to attack the course as you are able to check your times right after each test.

If you are an LOI Rider (Letter of Intent) planning and hoping to be chosen to represent the United States in Spain this October than you must get your Letter of Intent submitted to the AMA here is the LINK When you sign up to race – choose your class – there is no LOI special classes. In the comments you can add LOI so we know you are an LOI Rider. There will be no transfer trail and no impound.

Anyone that is considering the ISDE this year or in the future – we highly recommend attending the Sprint Enduro World Championship in Monterey, Tenn – July 13-14-15.

Michael Jolly from the AMA will be on hand if you should have any issues or questions. Pre-Entry is required for LOI racers – you can sign up online until Thursday at 11:59pm. Here is the LINK When you sign up online you will save $10 on your entry (pro classes excluded) and you will also receive a $10 Rocky Mountain E-credit with as long as you sign up using the email address that is connected with your RMATVMC account. All racers including SXCS racers can use that link for online sign up. Online sign up is only available for 2-days of racing. If you can only race 1 day you need to sign up at the track.

Contingency – This event has contingency through KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas, Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki. It is up to you to enter your correct bike manufacture when you register. You also will need to register your bike if eligible.

Check in – All racers must check-in to registration even if they registered online. First you must have your Wristband on which you should have gotten at the gate. We will not check you in unless you are “wearing” it. You must bring your “Clean Helmet”, your AMA Card and remember all minors will need a completed Youth Waiver. Please remember – Helmet Cams are NOT allowed in AMA Sanctioned Events.

PRO1/PRO2/Pro-AM/Pro-Women You must submit a W-9 – you also will need to have a US Sprint Enduro decal on your front number plate – we can provide this for you if you don’t have one. You will not get paid any purse monies if you do not have this decal on your plate.

This Round is also co-sanctioned with the Sprint Cross Country Series (SXCS is a three-format series that runs Grand Prix/Cross-Country and Sprint Enduro’s) when you race this event you will also receive points in the SXCS AMA Feature Series – so, you may consider following that series as well!
